Black Flower Music is always looking for new "talent" and new artists. If you know any musicians/groups that have recorded material, and aren't going to be like, "OMG MY MUSIC IS ON THE INTERNET" please let me know. My contact info is on the home page at the bottom. As for specifics, Black Flower Music is an "online record label". We support artists getting recognition, and promote them. What we've done so far, is received demos, albums, etc and posted them on the site for FREE download in mp3 format. There's no catch. We have website bandwidth and storage space to spare, so why not use it as an outlet to promote artists and music? We basically give the artists 2 different pages. 1 for a biography/write-up/bio of some kind, and the pages of download materials. Various people all over the world will hear your music. We work with the artists to promote their music. Whereupon requested, we could make a few burned CDs and distribute them freely around our neighbourhoods, hand out flyers, and stuff like that. Even if your band isn't from where we live, we will still take the time and promote your band in our area. Another thing we can do, is distribute your songs and your band on various file-sharing services. Such services can be of great help to artists simply wanting to 'get their name out there' because there are sure to be people who will download out of pure curiousity. As an example, I took a trip to Japan over the summer and I distributed 10 of my albums at a store in Ikebukuro. After that occurence my site traffic from Japan nearly doubled. The same happened when I distributed flyers for R3v0 when they released the album "From Nothing" I went to about 5 different music stores and gave out about 3 or 4 for free at each store. Two of the songs from that album got played on college radio stations. Black Flower Music will do a minimum of putting up a bio page and music download page on our site; however, we are capable of doing much much more than that. We're pretty open-minded about what genres we seek to host, but our preference is that you be open-minded as well. Originality and independence from the mainstream way music is made is key to getting your music out in the open. It doesn't matter what country you're in, we'll still promote you in the same way that I've promoted myself. We've already signed on a Serbian band and a Filippino band. Thank you for reading this. Have a nice day. :D Copyright © 2008 by Andrew Eidson |
